there were no electronic markers . In fact , semiautomatic markers were relatively new and many players , even at the highest level , still played with pump-guns . There was no NXL , NPPL or PSP in 1990 . It was the Lively Series that was the national-level event series that drew the best teams in the world .
Braun ran the World Cup at Survival New York in 1990 , 1991 and 1992 , and when the NPPL was formed for the 1993 season , the World Cup became its season-ending event for the life of the NPPL , which lasted through the 2002 season before giving way to new leadership , ownership and changing to the NPPL Super 7 . And then of course the PSP and NXL would continue the World Cup tradition .
The Move
It was in 1994 that was the defining moment for the World Cup . The NPPL and its promoters decided to move the World Cup to Kissimmee , Florida , home of bright sun , Palmettos and of course the attraction that is known as Disney World .
