One beep per second for 10 seconds to start the game , the sound of paintballs flying by in a certain direction , the echo of balls breaking on your bunker so you know who is shooting at you , or your teammates telling you where the other team is . All things most paintball players take for granted as ways to assess a field . Field awareness relies almost as much on sound as it does on sight , yet watching Stealth , a team comprised fully of deaf players , makes it obvious that a passion for the game can overcome any obstacle .
Stealth was put together by two people well known in New England paintball , Timothy Irvin Jr . and Victor Espinoza Jr . Tim , who has been a formidable Dside attacker for a few years , created the name Stealth and joined with Victor , of VCK photography , to build a five-man team for ‘ Cup with some help from Anthony Vitale of Boston Paintball . The team was able to pull together six players from all over the country , California to New England , and was coached by Tim ’ s brother Nick Irvin .
