Fast-forwarding to the quarterfinals we saw the upset of the division as Jamz Factory Team easily beat Coalition 4-1 . Since this was Jamz ’ first event of the season it ’ s difficult to gauge how good they really are , but easily beating a team that hadn ’ t lost all season was pretty impressive . Jamz would make it all the way to the semifinals when they would lose to Dynamic , only playing in their second event of the season . Final score 3-1 Dynamic . In the other semifinal match Texas Cyclone beat Wasted Potential ( sell-fulfilling prophesy ?) 4-2 . Dynamic would close out their World Cup experience with an easy ( ish ) World Cup win over Texas Cyclone 4-1 , while Wasted Potential won the consolation game 3-2 over Jamz .
Division Five Xball Games
Division Five Xball had 29 team entered . And in this division Tropic Thunder rules the roost . In the previous four events Tropic Thunder entered , they finished in first place every time . They put a beatdown on just about every team they ’ ve play for almost a year coming into World Cup and when it counted , playing on Sundays , they haven ’ t lost a single game . So , the questions are , How would they fare at World Cup ? And , who ’ s playing for second place ?
In the prelims only two teams finished with a perfect four wins in four games . Any guesses ? Nope you ’ re wrong … Bombsquad ran through their bracket like they were the only team playing . In four games they outscored their opponents 13-1 . And Carolina Clutch Red did almost the same facing only one real threat and they extinguished that to go 4-0 in the preliminary rounds .
Bombsquad only made it to the quarterfinals where they lost to LA All Stars NQPR . Carolina Clutch Red also met their match in the quarterfinals , losing to Step Bros .
