The overwhelming majority of teams finished 2-2 in the four opening round games . In the ocho rounds New York Brave , Sac DMG , Carolina Crisis Bronze , New York Infectious ( hands down the best Covid-19 era name I ’ ve heard yet ), Philadelphia A ’ s , Struggle and Wisconsin Infamous all won and all advanced to the quarterfinals .
The Philly A ’ s beat New York Infectious rather easily 5-1 and the other three games were much more competitive . Sag DMG beat Wisconsin Infamous 4-2 . New York Brave knocked of NRG Alpha by the same score and Carolina Crisis Bronze sent Struggle home earlier than they wanted , 5-3 . In the semifinals Crisis and Sac DMG advance to meet in the finals .
With everything on the line Sac DMG simply played one point better than Carolina Crisis Bronze . Both teams fought tooth and nail and DMG came out on top , sweeping the division from the first game to the last . The Philadelphia A ’ s beat New York Brave to take third place AND the 2021 Division
Three Season Series title .
Division Four Xball Games
A whopping 72 team entered Division Four Xball with the hopes of winning the World Cup and taking a giant step forward and upward in the National Xball League . And with this number of teams you just never know how things will shake out , especially with teams playing their first NXL event here at the ‘ Cup . Coalition has proven to be the top dog in Division Four in 2021 . Coming into the World Cup they played three events , Sunshine State Major , Mid- Atlantic Major and the Windy City Major — and they ’ ve won them all … three-for-three , no hiccups , missteps or slipups , just perfect paintball . And in the preliminary rounds at the World Cup Coalition did exactly what you ’ d expect — they won all four games . Texas Cyclone , Wasted Potential ( reverse phycology ?), Brooklyn Raptors , Noobies , NM Ruckus , DBS Factory , Matrix Gear Factory Team and Dynamics all also breezed through round one .
