In the ocho rounds Colorado Blitz , another top-level team got knocked off , this one by New England Wreckage , playing their first event of the season . TPP Totem ( also apparently known as TPP Gridiron ), Leverage and Oakland Grey all advanced out of the ochos . In the quarterfinals Oakland Grey Area knocked out Killers , a team that rarely goes home early . Leverage , playing in only their second event of the season beat Austin Notorious . TPP Totem and New England Wreckage also advanced to the semifinals .
In the semis TPP Totem eliminated Leverage and New England Wreckage beat Oakland Grey Area . In the finals New England Wreckage beat TPP Totem to claim first place , while Leverage easily handled Oakland Grey Area .
Division Three Xball Games
Division Three saw 46 teams entered and ready to do battle in this very competitive division . Coming into the World Cup there were more than ten teams mathematically alive for a season title . With a possible six events to enter for the divisional teams , the best three scores would count towards a title run . There was no series points advantage to play more than three events unless one of your first three events didn ’ t go well . A team could use the fourth event as a do-over .
Of the 46 entered teams only three would be a perfect four-for-four in the preliminary rounds : New York Brave , Sac DMG and Carolina Crisis Bronze .
