seasons , was held across the street from the Gaylord Hotel in Kissimmee — the perfect location for a paintball event of this magnitude . The field is close to hundreds of hotels ( and house rentals ), close to the international airport , the Kissimmee and Orlando nightlife and the weather is perfect for the late Fall season — and it ’ s the one event where many or most players bring their families , largely because of the proximity to Disney .
This year ’ s World Cup had a very larger and busy trade show . With companies like GI Sportz , Valken , Anthrax , Sup ’ Air Ball , Push , GOG , Luxe Paintball , Trade My Gun , Ninja , Carbon , HK and dozens more , you could spend a day here and not even see a single game . Budweiser had their mobile Bud truck on-site , there were various games to be played for spectators , like volleyball , Gellyball and more and as always , there were large grandstands to watch the pro games from , a VIP area and open spectator viewing for all divisional games and standalone events like the mounds fields .
Unlike any other event that happens regularly in paintball , the world Cup attracts a huge variety of players and fans . It ’ s the one event where you ’ ll see old-school woodsball players like Adam Gardner , Todd Adamson , Mapp Chhim , Paul Bollenbach , Spesh Robinson , Tim Jenkins , James Graley and many more on the field in the same event as all of the NXL Pro teams .
And if you haven ’ t noticed , the World Cup is big … really big … 596 teams big !

The second most important thing that a team can do in a season is to win their division season title . Winning a title shows sponsors and potential sponsors a team ’ s ability to be a consistent threat to win any given event and it puts their sponsor ’ s gear in the spotlight .
