The general initially selected as Dracula to run the Red Team bowed out and, undaunted, his assigned XO Johnny“ Bravo” Christian, stepped up to fill his shoes. And that he did.
Day 1- Thursday, the event kicked off with a series of escort and hold missions. In rotation, the Commander and the XO of each team was escorted to a specific location on the field. Upon arrival, a battle would ensue in the Grinder- the notorious hyperball field at the front of Hell Survivors where many final battles have been fought with onlookers from the adjacent Tiki Bar, and legends have been made. For this mission, though, the Grinder served as a hold and protect location for a bomb and a detonator. If the opposing team was able to take possession of the field and secure the bomb, they could then detonate the location where the commander was held, thus eliminating the commander and winning the mission. But if the defensive
team was able to hold the position, they would successfully protect their commander and preserve the points.
Green dominated this part of the event.
Day 2- Friday, saw a last man battle with scenario elements interspersed. Balls were hidden in locations around the field, and each team was assigned a number of“ Seekers” who were sent to retrieve them. As an added challenge, only the Seekers were permitted to touch the balls. The battle insured until the last of the Seekers remained alive, and points were awarded to the team with the last survivor.
Red made their comeback in this battle.
Day 3- Saturday was all about the immersive play and the scatter props. Themed props were seeded around the field- from blood pouches, crosses, and batteries to stakes and dismembered
