Paintball Media : From the event organizer perspective , how was ESG 2024 ?
Bertil Wolowitz : Managing a Magfed event with 1500 players is a crazy challenge and has kept me awake some nights . There is no experience from past events as no one in the world has ever organized a Magfed event of this size before , so of course a lot of things were new to us .
Thanks to Scenariobiggame , we have 15 years of experience with large events , which has helped us a lot , but the gaming experience at Magfed is completely different .
However , we were able to learn a few lessons from last year ’ s event with 1000 players and so we have enlarged the playing field again and made it even more varied with a total of 81 buildings and bunkers . In addition , the technology has been further expanded , with Ares Alpha we have a system at our disposal with which we can control the game digitally , which has absolutely proven itself , otherwise a Magfed event of this size would not be controllable .
What about attendance !? How many players and what ’ s the story on the world Record ?
Bertil Wolowitz : We had exactly 1486 players at the Eurosupergame , making it by far the biggest Magfed Paintball event in the world .
