In the ocho rounds Lucky 15s Staffordshire ALA Warsaw 3-2 , who just squeaked into Sunday play with two first round wins . Bad Boys Oss from the Netherlands , also with only two first round wins , sent Austin FSU packing with a 6-5 win .
There were not a lot of close games in the Pro Xball quarterfinals . The TonTons just dominated Bad Boys Oss , with another 5-0 game , their fourth such score in their five games . Breakout Spa beat the Czech Republic ’ s best PPArena Pilsen 3-1 in the only close match of the quarterfinals . Norway ’ s Ronholt Dynamite knocked off Sweden ’ s powerhouse Joy Division 4-1 and Scalp was dominant again beating Luck15s Staffordshire 5-0 .
Pro Semifinals & Finals In the semifinals it was more domination by the TonTons and they blew past a very good Breakout Spa team , 7-2 . Scalp followed with another win , albeit a closer game , as they sent Ronholt Dynamite home 4-3 .
What a Pro Xball finals round we were set up for . It doesn ’ t always work out that the two best teams end up squaring off in the finals but that surely was the case here in Portugal . The two French superstar teams , Scalp versus the legendary Toulouse TonTons . The game didn ’ t disappoint . In a tough , gritty battle of two titans , it was Scalp that came out on top 3-2 . It should be noted that the TonTons easily won the 2023 Pro Xball title last year over Joy Division , while Scalp ran away with the Semipro title . What a jump from Semipro to knocking off the champs in their first event . Amazing …
