In this interview with Paintball Media , Eli Booth shares insights into his remarkable journey , unwavering dedication to technology , and his mission to bridge the gap between rec-ball and scenario play .
From Passion to Innovation
Eli Booth ’ s journey into the world of paintball began with a spark of passion that ignited into a flame of innovation . Reflecting on his early days , Eli reminisces , “ It was there from almost the beginning .” Growing up in Helena , Montana , Eli found himself captivated by paintball ’ s adrenaline-fueled rush . However , with limited formal paintball fields in his area , he took matters into his own hands , organizing meetups and games using Special Ops Paintball ’ s Game Finder .
“ I wanted more out of paintball ,” Eli explains . “ So , I started hosting meetups in 2007 .” Despite initial challenges , including logistical hurdles and a steep learning curve , Eli ’ s determination never wavered . “ I slowly learned from my mistakes ,” he recalls , “ and continued hosting meetups for several years .”
After a hiatus and a move to Arizona , Eli ’ s passion for paintball reignited with a newfound purpose . “ I returned to the scene in 2015 with a vision to counter larger , more skilled groups ,” he says . With his idealistic approach , Eli began crafting his own scenarios , aiming to create immersive experiences that transcended traditional gameplay .
