Teams such as Grey Knights , Durrty Bacon , and PCP ( The Clowns ) from SC Village , along with other well-known Decay Teams , showcased their support with impressive mech suits and iconic clown antics . Midwest teams like Mutant 313 , Nomads , St . Louis Samurai , and Yeti Squad
joined the battle , along with Florida Chaos , Levaine Paintball , and Type 3 . Local Texas teams like NNK , Cobra , Texas Knightstalkers also participated , alongside Infinite Death from the Midwest and several new teams . Approximately 250 players participated over two days , with balanced team sizes . The game covered a 400x500 field , featuring themed environments typical of SC and Giant .
Eli combines traditional game mechanics with Wireless Scoring Stations ( WSS ), focusing on mechs and the Domination game mode in recent games . Mechs served as transport and strategic assets for each team , equipped with Scenario Slugs , Foam “ Energy ” Swords , and a PVC Backpack frame with a 3D-printed Mech representation . There were 15 WSSs , with 4 exclusive to mechs and 11 open for capture by any player . The Domination mode used a 15-minute scoring cycle , rewarding points to the team with the most flags owned . Each player ’ s scoring was linked to their RFID player badge , allowing real-time tracking on a webbased dashboard .
The commanders for the event were Joe “ Smoking Joe ” Stayback , the owner of Sherwood Forest , facing off against Chris Rangel from UNDR / Animal / Giant Sports . They were supported by their Executive Officers ( XOs ), Matt “ Guru ” Walton from Mutant 313 and Guru Games Productions , and Djuan “ 3D ” Mitchell of Nomads leading

Eli and SC Village are known for their punctuality , emphasizing the importance
of arriving early to set up before the event starts . The pressure to be ready on time is crucial for ensuring a smooth start to the day of play . Despite the typical noon start time for most scenarios in Texas , this
event had a 10 AM game start on Saturday . This might have contributed to the early arrivals from the Midwest team , who were on-site before 7 AM , while the Texas team arrived closer to 8 AM or even later . The impending rain and stormy weather might have played a role in the delays , with updates indicating that the storm was just beginning .
The power outage at the field created logistical challenges , requiring quick adjustments . Giant and SC Village , managed the situation well . The production crew from SC Village in California consisting of Mike Lange , Matt Alonzo and Zayla Maciel flew in to provide competent experience in big games just like this . Their expertise and ability to adapt with the challenges was demonstrated and much appreciated by the players ( A BIG THANKS TO THEM FROM THIS REPORTER !). Chris Rangel had to focus on addressing the venue issues caused by the rain and power outage which meant Zoey had to step up and take command . Leveraging her extensiv experience , she filled the leadership ga to keep the event running smoothly .
