overall , a great deal of appreciation was shown to the vendors who were there for their commitment to the paintball industry . A conversation with John Dresser , the marketing manager for Kore Outdoor who over sees GI Sports , Tippman , Empire , JT and V-force , gave an insight into the purpose and mindset behind the development and continuance of the Extravaganza .
“ Our number one goal is to meet with existing customers and make sure that we ’ re doing a good job with their accounts ,” Dresser said . “ We meet with potential new customers and make sure their introduction into paintball is smooth , that they ’ re headed in the right direction .”
At the same time , Dresser said , there is a responsibility to assess the industry , to meet other people in the industry , and take account of the direction in which the industry is headed collectively .
“ I think in any industry an event like this is necessary ,” Dresser said . “[ It ’ s ] where people can come together and they ’ re not worried about selling retail and not worried about shipping a product or move product around , where they can help dealers plan and forecast for the future .”
Personally , I attended this event to see options for the future of our business .
