With a change in venue to Orlando , FL , the 2023 Paintball Extravaganza felt a little different this year . It did , however , provide my wife Kathie and I with an opportunity to scratch two items off bucket lists : swim with the dolphins at Discovery Cove , and watch a night launch of the SpaceX Crew-6 sending a rocket to the International Space Station . Both were amazing . I did manage to get a serious sunburn and was a little less friendly than normal . Fortunately , everyone seemed to want to slap me on my burnt shoulders , so the blisters didn ’ t last long and were painfully removed . The usual networking at the Paintball Extravaganza was excellent . Though the Avanti Palms Resort lacked the worldfamous bar we had become accustomed to for socializing and mingling , we still managed plenty of refreshments . And , as always , there were some amazing paintball personalities present to learn from , and ample time to renew some fantastic friendships .
Gina and Junior Brown did an excellent job as hosts for the morning round tables . Topics included field owner issues on Day 1 , store owner issues one Day 2 , and a combination of both field and store owners Day 3 . Interestingly , during these discussions , a recurrent topic that continued to come up amongst the attendees was the lack of a Paintball Industry Association . To address this , I had an idea which was something like the Haunt Attraction Association ( HAA ),
