On Saturday the Germans once again as in previous years held the wall and jumped out to a 9-0 lead . They then flooded the Hood and kept the Allies back for a few hours . With coordinated pushes the Allies were able to gain ground later in the day and scored some needed points . We felt pretty battered and bruised , but we did not give up . Saturday ended with the Germans up 40-15 .
Saturday night the Allied Commanders told their teams that they were not out of it yet , but we would need to do an almost clean sweep on Sunday to pull out a victory . That was all my guys needed to hear to be ready for the next day .
Sunday morning the Allied teams sprinted out of the blocks and ran to the German insertion . I am not sure if it was the weather or just dumb luck but we caught the Germans near their insertion .
