woods and hybrid fields also had sideline spectating on one side each . There was plenty of action to watch , all weekend , non-stop .
For anyone not familiar , the ICC is a “ classic ” style event in that the rate of fire is limited to 5.5 balls per second . Any marker was allowed as long as it was mechanical or electronic set to 5.5 .
The ICC ’ s star power was a sight to see . Ryan Greenspan , Alex Fraige , Ritchie Maliszewski , Billy Ceranski , Rich Telford , John Dresser , Rocky Cagnoni , Chris LaSoya , Travis Lemanski , Brian “ LB ” Fow , Justin Owen , Will Arroyo , Ryan Moorhead , Adam Gardner , Ian “ Jacko ” Parsons , Todd Martinez , Nicky Cuba , Frank Connell , Tom Cole , Mike “ Turtle ” Mrok , Jon Richardson

( aka “ Jonny Paintball ”), Rob Staudinger , Lane Wright and many more of the game ’ s best players from the past 20 years were out there on the field .
Scoring at the ICC is very reminiscent of the Lively Series or NPPL scoring systems . A max win is worth 100 points . A team loses a point for every body they lose in a game and gains points by flag grabs / hangs and opponent eliminations . An example would be if a team pulls and hangs their opponent ’ s flag , eliminates all of their opponent ’ s players and loses three of their own , they would win by a score of 97 to 9 .
Friday saw 48 teams compete in the fiveman division of the ICC . Unlike today ’ s Xball style of paintball tournament , this classic throwback event had one five-man division and one ten-man division , referred to as “ open ” divisions . No matter what level of play your team is at , if you ’ re playing the ICC , you ’ re playing in the open division .
