Enter in Chris Rangel and his powerhouse beliefs of growing paintball . He is driven with being on the top in paintball . Undr Paintball is a successful paintball clothing company . He started the Veteran Militia paintball group and built relationship within the industry . He is now recognized by Adrenaline Paintball for a private label Luxe . He merged with Animal Paintball , which kicked off this idea of rebuilding Bunkerfest in late 2018 early 2019 .
The set back of COVID in 2020 was a new challenge and something everyone had to overcome . It seems like the event would be on the back burner once again , which delayed the September 2020 event to 2021 . He found a sporting complex in Round Rock , Texas . He revamped the date for no other than June 5th & 6th to mark a push forward for such a historical day we can call “ D-day .”
For months , the event was being promoted on any platform on the web . Teams signed up but it seemed as if no one was paying in time . Chris kept pushing back the final registration date to get as many teams as possible on the field . Finally , teams flow in form states like Florida , Louisiana , Oregon , and California and many more . Not to mention many Texas based teams . Vendors like Smart Parts , Mazens PB , Super Stanchy Customs , IhatePaintball . com and some local food vendors .
Despite all these welcomed teams and vendors , a bigger challenge presented itself . Players did not know if it was going to Muddy Fest or Bunkerfest . With weeks of rain , the weather broke and provided a cool breeze and overcast all weekend . For once in nearly 8 years Bunkerfest was alive at 8 A . M . on June 5th firing its first shot .
