On Saturday morning , Red team was pretty stacked , so yellow was open to walk-on players and ones unable to register . Even with rain in the forecast for the weekend , was going to be a battle waged . But how does Monster Game work ?
On the field there are several named bunkers , Yellow and red flags are attached to rope on 8 foot wooden poles . Each bunker is worth points at a certain time , usually every 30 minutes . Those bunkers are announced by microphone and It is also posted on Hell Survivors ’ Facebook by Dave Massey , owner / operator of Hell Survivors . There are also props to retrieve that are chained and locked . Only unlocking them with the correct 4 digits that are also posted on HS ’ Social Media .
Djuan : “ Man , it was a blast this year playing Monster Game . At the beginning of Day One , it was tough . Yellow Team was everywhere and they kept us on our toes the whole day .”
I was able to talk to Big Country as well -
“ Red and yellow gave 120 % each day and it showed on and off the field and it was beautiful to see - win or lose . Being a rookie general at Hell ’ s this year , I have zero complaints or have anything negative to say .
On Sunday however , Red Team had most of the field and was able to obtain 2 of the said props from earlier , a tire , and a mortar shell .
