That said, Joe Munoz, Ron Petrucci and a few others from “back in the day” were present and playing on the teams they once roamed NPPL fields with in the past. The Games The games began at 9:30 sharp this sunny, hot Saturday New Jersey morning. Each game was worth 100 points, which would mean shooting all of your opponents and grabbing and hanging their flag, while not losing a single player from your own squad. Eight teams played seven preliminary round games (they each played each other) and there was not a single perfect 100 score and no team won all seven of their games. Ground Zero Silver’s 515 preliminary round points (of a possible 700) was enough for the number one seed heading into the next round. Ground Zero Red, with just 344 points ended the preliminary rounds as the number two seed—which shows how evenly matched most of these teams were. The third seed at the end of first round play was Brotherhood with 333 points and they were followed by the all Americans II with 328 preliminary round points. After a break for lunch and to get out of the sun for a bit, the top three teams regrouped and headed for the finals. Game one saw Brotherhood take it to Ground Zero Silver, 066 paintball.media magazine
