Dynamic Paintball in
Aurora, Colorado
The purpose of this bucket list originally was
to bring light to some of the biggest and oldest
paintball fields out there. Encourage you to
travel and see new places and meet new
friends. Be a part of paintball history. Dynamic
isn’t really one of those fields, it’s a tiny little
place near Denver. I was there recently for
the Ally Remembered Foundation’s charity
event and this little field grabbed my heart. I
realised that not everyone wants to play giant
fields with massive amounts of players. Some
people just love a smaller, more intimate
setting. They want fields where you can walk
off the field, find your opponents, and shake
their hands. Compliment them on a great
move or apologize for accidental bad form.
That is what Dynamic is… and so much more.
Dynamic is owned by Mike O’Lear and he is
an old school player from 1988. He has paid
dues playing tournaments and it shows. His
field has one of the best layouts that I have
ever seen. You see, Dynamic is a bunker field,
meaning that there aren’t any trees. It is just
a flat field, surrounded by nets with bunkers
set up to play amongst. Now normally, I hate
straight bunker fields and try to avoid them
when I can. I love my trees and rolling hills
etc. Dynamic however is so well laid out that
it is amazing. And it’s MASSIVE! You can see
end to end and side to side, but you can not
shoot from one tape to the other. All the
bunkers are perfectly spaced out to make
running and maneuvering extremely easy.
Plus, the bunkers are huge, so you do not
have to be a short contortionist to be safe.
Dynamic has dirt mounds, buses, planes,
tanker trucks, structures and that’s just the
big field! They also have a speedball field
like a hyperball field but with white plastic
containers as bunkers, and the “Spool Field”.
The spool field is probably my absolute
favorite part of Dynamic. It is an extra short
speedball field without shooting lanes….
yeah, you read that correctly. This little field
is a grinder. You either know how to play as
a team and communicate or the other team
will eat you up and spit you out. I have never
seen anything like it. It is absolutely amazing
and will really test your paintball IQ. So, if you
are looking for a great day of paintball and
want to play fields that are not only different
but actually extremely well planned out, you
should really check out Dynamic Paintball
