And staying on-script it was Ology , Noobies and New York Wrecking Crew going undefeated in the preliminary rounds . Leverage , Royal City Sea Dogs , Preferred Mob and TJBastards each won three first round games .
Moving ahead to the quarterfinals Preferred Mob , after an 11th place finish in Vegas and a 14th place finish in Texas , knocked off the heavily favored New York Wrecking Crew 4-3 . Ology sent the Royal Sea Dogs packing 5-3 . Greenville Growl beat Mexico ’ s TJBastards 3-2 and Leverage squeaked past Noobies 2-1 .
In the semifinals Ology won another close game over Greenville Growl 5-4 and Leverage played their best game of the tournament with a 5-0 win over Preferred Mob . In the finals Ology , who got better and better on Sunday , took down Leverage 6-2 for the first-place win — their first-ever Semipro win . Preferred Mob beat Greenville Growl in the consolation game to take third place .
Divisional Xball
Division Two Xball is where you begin to see a mix of teams that compete in every NXL event , as well as a handful of those that just play the events nearest to them . The Vegas Brawlers is one such team that fits into the later category . They played only Vegas this season and walked away winners . New York Brave , a regular on the NXL scene won the Lone Star Major Division Two .
That brings us to Atlantic City .
Eighteen teams entered Division Two Xball in Atlantic City , with eight advancing to the quarterfinals . Only BR Factory and Outlaw AP Warriors swept their four game preliminary rounds . Brawl , Philly Corrupt , New York Brave and Wolfpack each won three .
Moving into the Sunday semifinals Wolfpack defeated AG Knights 4-3 and BR Factory knocked off New York Brave . BR Factory made it to the podium in both Vegas and Texas and a final round appearance would guarantee a third straight trip to the stage . Wolfpack on the other hand , placed 5th in Vegas and Texas , leaving them just a game out of a 2024 podium appearance until their strong showing in New Jersey . In the final matchup , it would be Wolfpack taking it to BR Factory , playing aggressive and fast . In the end it was Wolfpack 6 , BR Factory 4 . AG Knights beat New York Brave 4-3 in the battle for third place .
Division Three Xball always proves to be one of the largest divisions event after event , and Atlantic City was no exception . Thirty-six teams mixed it up for a chance at podium glory and somehow , only Noobies were able to win their four preliminary round games . Noobies ( D3 ) took 7th place in Vegas and did not make it to Texas , so this was a very strong showing early on .
