KC proposes a structural approach: requiring a minimum number of female players on the field across all divisions, backed by development pathways and mentorship,“ not just to say women participated, but to make sure they’ re truly playing, contributing, and thriving.” Fidah thinks about the grassroots entry point:“ Call up all the passionate ones all over Asia and create a day of paintball get-together, like a retreat. You have to start somewhere like schools.”
Jane: If 2027 is going to look different, the conversation has to start now- not in January next year, not weeks before registration closes. That means reaching out to women’ s teams and individual players across the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and beyond. It means making women’ s paintball visible enough that a woman who can see herself in the sport before she is even asked to try it.
What These Women Want the Next Generation to Know
Three sentences. Three women. One shared direction.
“ I want the next generation of women in Asian paintball to know that _________.”
Monika:“ They can play, compete, and also have fun without limits. There is always a place for women in this sport and the community will always support them.”
KC:“ You can build your own way in the sport. You don’ t have to fit into anyone else’ s version of it.”
Fidah:“ I want the next generation of women in Asian paintball to know that AGPIC existed and to continue the Asian camaraderie.”
HYROX Finish Line Is Just the Beginning
Four paintball women crossed the HYROX finish line on 3 April 2026 inside the Singapore National Stadium. Breathless. Proud. Grinning the way you only grin when something harder than you expected turns out to be exactly what you needed.
It would be easy to file this away as a personal story- 4 friends, 1 race, 1 weekend. But that would miss the point entirely. This was women who refused to disappear during the quiet months. Who brought their paintball community into a space of 14,000 athletes and held their ground. Who showed that the sport they love is alive even when the calendar says otherwise.
Somewhere in the HYROX Singapore 2026 results, there is a bib number that belongs to paintball. It will not be the last one.
The 2026 Asia women’ s paintball calendar has events. Those events need teams. Those teams need players. Those players could be reading this right now.
The community already exists. You just have to step into it.
