The defending world champions played cold, clinical paintball. Their defense was suffocating. Their offense, precise. Dallas had no space to breathe— and no points to show— sending the Heroines back to the championship match with a grinding 2 – 0 win.
New Jersey High Rollers on the other hand, continued to scrap. In one of the tournament’ s biggest surprises, the High Rollers eliminated the previously undefeated Femmes Fatale in a packed-field, overtime heart-stopper. The win punched their ticket to a finals showdown few had predicted.
The Underdog Fairy Tale would not play out in the finals, however. Instead, the Heroines cemented legendary status with a mercy-rule shutout on the Pro Field. Delivering one of the most dominant Finals performances in WNXL history, they won 5-0 and broke the“ first-event curse” that has loomed over them for five seasons.
From horn to horn, the Heroines dictated every engagement. Their lanes held. Their attackers pressed. Their communication never faltered. And in just a handful of rotations, the mercy rule the Heroines secured their first season-opening victory of the WNXL’ s fifth season, reinforced their status as the team to beat in 2026, and began the hunt for a historic perfect season.
