The titans of the Pro division have not yet faded and still remain on top. But it would appear that the young and tight-knit Paintball Fit squad is joining their ranks. With them disrupting the scene, this is truly becoming an Any Given Sunday division where the skill levels continue to improve, the margins for error are slim, and every single point is a slugfest. There is an exciting season ahead.
WNXL Women’ s Professional Division
The growth of the Women’ s Professional division, WNXL, has been undeniable over the past three seasons, and we are now witnessing the next evolution of the league. As teams mature and female professional players level up around the league, many are evolving and finding ways to reach back to a new generation.
This past offseason saw the retirement of league staples and headliners from Team USA like Jenn Fulk, Rozy McCurley, and Alex Del Mar.
The teams in the league would see some changes as well. We witnessed the transition of the St. Louis Arch Angels as they moved to a new home field at Indiana Paintball and assumed the new moniker of The Immortal Angels.
And despite multiple Sunday appearances, many podium finishes, and even a series title in 2024, the Chesapeake Cheetahs decided to sell their professional spot in the WNXL to an expansion team under the ownership of Alex Hooker, the Baltimore Nevermores. To support their berth, the Nevermores would call upon none other than the aforementioned Del Mar to mentor and coach the young, new squad.
