There was no complaining about the magnitude of the venue for the NXL Tampa Bay Open this season, to be sure. Playing in the shadow of Raymond James Stadium is monumental. The fact that it’ s also situated next to the New York Yankees’ spring training facility, which is grand enough to double as the temporary home to the Tampa Bay Rays while Tropicana Field undergoes hurricane repairs this season, speaks to the grandiosity of the venue.
Tampa being a town that enjoys a good party kept its nightclub district near by these iconic landmarks in a neighborhood commonly known as Ybor City. Situated only blocks away from the stadiums, 1920 Ybor would be the home of this year’ s Summit Award Show.
Although it lacked the magnitude of last year’ s poolside show in Las Vegas, this generous space with an open-air balcony overlooking the main stage, provided an edgy yet elegant setting for the event.

After putting in about 28 hours of time on the live stream broadcast of the Pro field over the course of the weekend, Mike Jeffrey had another microphone put into his hands and hosted the award show.
