contribution to your side . This was done by use of your player badge which was a RFID swipe card that every player received in their player pack after registration . This allowed any willing player to collect and extract props they found on field to their side ’ s HQ and swipe the card at the Buystation located there to sell the prop and claim their rightful place on the board . This feature was met with overwhelming success as over 2 / 3 of players partook in the scanning of items and even waited to do so allowing commanders the opportunity to strategize with them before they took the field again . Secondary faction missions where rewarded upon completion with high value scannable gold cards , that saw those players skyrocket on the leaderboard . The large money maker however were the five electronic flagstations that were scattered through the field at key locations and would change color as well as automatically update the score without a referee needed simply by a player swiping their badge on the RFID reader . These flagstations were controlled by a server that ran random games , inspired by popular Call of Duty multiplayer mode such as Hard Point or Domination .
The Game Beautiful weather back the fall foliage of Sherwood Forest as the teams took the field for a 10AM start on Saturday , fighting fiercely for field position as they raced to flagstations . My personal favourite saw me mastermind and pull off a broad daylight heist of security cameras from the producer shack under the distracted watch of Guru and his referees . Which ultimately lead us to the discovery of a hidden mechanic in the game and one the players on both sides quickly embraced and mastered , robbing the referees for the props they were carrying . All completely legal within the rules , I assure you . Everyone had a great laugh at one point or another committing armed robbery and sticking up these civilians of Al Sherwood . Neither team established too much of a lead as the score stayed rather static as the 7PM stand down approached . I was on field in the dark searching for the numbers on the location signs we needed to complete a mission when the whistle blew and we headed in exhausted but determined to fight the next day .
Sunday brought out the competitors in all of us that remained , as several players packed up and headed home , taking the field at 9:30AM we began a dogged uphill fight for every square inch of field blue tried to hold from us . Any success was met with a brutal assault by The Juggernaut , a perk the blue team repeatedly obtained that allowed one of their players to
