A look at the future of Scenario at Mutant Warfare : Insurgency
The Story At face value the game told the story of the embattled , fictional region of Al Sherwood , and the desperate fighters sent in to salvage what resources they could . Their mission was to stop the sale of a nuclear material by a deranged former General to unnamed terrorists . To do this each side was tasked with financing the purchase before the terrorists could deliver the money . A third act twist saw a final battle of rushing to the roof of the highest building in Al Sherwood to construct a nuclear weapon from the purchased materials . Allowing the side that completed the mission to make one important decision , to deactivate the bomb or level Al Sherwood in nuclear fire . This was the fantasy that 157 players got lost in for two days of scenario paintball at Sherwood Forest in La Porte , Indiana .
