Dezi : I see this always staying as a family-based event for everyone with good vibes . My wife Jenni ’ s mother , brother , his wife , sister , my mother , and bothers all have hands in our Jurassic production . Our toddler nephews even get in the game help ... kinda . We even give “ Lifetime Medic ” cards to every young gun award winner . Fourteen lifetime medic cards mean you have available 14 medics on field as soon as the game starts . Better recruit !
PB . Media : When and why did you choose to go with female commanders ?
Dezi : I love strong women . I like having a kick butt woman taking the stage and showing their skills in the game . Seeing a woman covered in paint and battling with the front line , organizing battle plans , and leading the way , I thought it would be an inspiration to young women .
PB . Media : How do you think having all female commanders has influenced the game ?
Dezi : I think we have seen more women come into our events because of it . [ There is ] something to be said when someone sees someone who looks like themselves being an all out badass on the front line . It might inspire [ people ] to be one of them . Time will tell !
PB . Media : Any standout moments from this year ’ s event ?
Dezi : These were zero problems with player vs . player issues . Everyone who attends our events understands that I have a zero tolerance for unsportsmanlike activity . This is neither that field nor the event to be “ that guy ”. Bring good vibes , or there ’ s the gate . Easy as that . [ We make it clear that ] a lot of these kids around here are looking up to y ’ all , [ and encourage the grown kids to ] try stepping up your game by showing the younglings the ways of the game .
PB . Media : Any shout outs ?

Y ’ all ’ s support of the players adds so much value to the event . [ You ] could have been anywhere else in the country that weekend , and y ’ all chose Outdoor Xtreme Battlefield Orlando .
PB . Media : What can people expect for next year ?
Dezi : For the first time in this field ’ s history we are changing the starting locations to play the field in a way no one will be boxed in . We are so excited to make this work and have our players have another “ First Time ” experience . We will also be adding in “ Asteroid Impacts ” to areas , and that will change the game play big time . Much love players and get ready for a walk in the park 65 million years in the past !
