For the preliminary round games each team played every other team , round robin style . In the finals the number one seed from the preliminaries would play the four seed and the second and third seeds would play each other . More on that later .

Team Revolution , ranging in age from 15 to 48 came out on fire with five straight wins in the preliminary rounds . LAX Machine , ages 15 to 54 won their first four . But it was team Crowley that ended round one as the top seed with seven wins in nine games — good for 642 points . After the preliminary rounds the scores looked like this :
