had to win this battle if we were to get an
early point advantage for the main game.
So, I got off my ass and walked up and down
the beach screaming and yelling at players
to push up and keep moving. One by one
our team inched its way up to the berm and
were able to secure the three objectives in
record time (as said by the referees).
We were unable to secure the very last
objective after clearing the beach but were
able to secure the majority of the points
for the beach battle which was a success.
Now, it was time for the main battle to start
with the usual missions and controlling of
the slapsticks. Michael and I went to the
command post and began to oversee the
troop deployment of our team to ensure
that we would cover as much of the field as

possible and as quick as we could. Missions
came in and as they did, we completed
them in turn and almost all of them. As the
Refs sent the call in to check who controlled
the slap sticks and I heard they were mostly
blue, I knew that Saturday was a great day
for us. The heat kept a lot of us from really
pushing it and I do believe we had a few
heat casualties, but nothing was to serious
for any immediate medical attention. Again,
the staff at the field did an amazing job of
making sure that everyone was keeping cool
and having fun for this event.
Sunday rolled along and I knew that we
couldn’t let our guard down even though we
were dramatically up in points. As the day
started, we received missions for us to do
