Out of the shoot Moscow Red Legion
took a bad loss to Houston Heat 7-2 in
a game that was barely competitive. But
man did they bounce back nicely with
three wins, outscoring their opponents
16-1 in the three-game stretch. Edmonton
Impact and Houston Heat each won their
four preliminary round games and none
of those games were particularly close.
Golden State Kings opened with a loss
then rattled off three straight wins. Joy
Division did the opposite, winning their
first three and losing their last first-round
game. No other Pro team won more than
two games in the preliminary rounds.

The most interesting game of the Pro
quarterfinals was clearly the Moscow Red
Legion versus Joy Division game. Joy did
everything they could to upset the Red
Legion but it was not to be. Moscow Red
Legion 6, Joy Division 5. If not the most
interesting, the most surprising game
of the quarterfinals was Ronholt Blast
besting the Golden State King in a game
that wasn’t even… a game, 5-1. Edmonton
Impact beat MLKings 4-2 and Houston
Heat cruised past Kyev united 5-0 in the
other two Pro quarterfinal games..
