Photo by Ryan Woods for the event. A Thursday evening windstorm caused havoc at the fields but the Millennium crew worked through the night to ensure a close to on-time start on Friday morning. By Friday the winds died down, the sun was out and the temps were a perfect 60 degrees Fahrenheit (roughly 16 degrees Celsius). The cool air in the morning turned to warmer air in the afternoons. I’m not sure you can ask for better weather for a paintball event. Last year you may have watched the demonstration of the M500, limited paint format on the webcast. Apparently the demo went well enough for the Millennium Series to change its 2016 format completely to M500 and from what I watched, and I watched nearly every pro game, there was no drop-off in excitement or play. The Mediterranean Cup vendor row was what we’ve come to expect. All of the regulars were in attendance as well as a few new faces. GI Sportz, Empire Paintball, Planet Eclipse, Dye Europe, Exalt, Virtue, BnkerKings, Anthrax, GOG, X-Field and about a dozen more vendors were in attendance and open for business.
