Photo By Thomas McDaniel The Allies put up a valiant fight, but no matter what they tried, they were unable to make it up the hill and penetrate the walls of the Abby. This meant, the Axis were able to hold the final flag of the day for the entire hour, earning all points available. Along with continuous battling back and forth to control flags, there were many side missions and props available for extra points. Bill Bailey put together some amazing props for the game, including a missile that, when the wrong wire was cut in an attempt to deactivate it, pressurized air was released from the bottom of it. These missions, and the search for props kept some players engaged in the game. Other players were left to their own devices. As it became later in the day, more and more silliness ensued. There was the player who rushed to a bunker carrying a 070 paintball.media magazine section of a log with him. Several of the younger players on both teams engaged in rousing games of rock, paper, scissors. As things continued to progress, even the big kids became involved as squeegee fights broke out in multiple places on the field. Finally, we were all fortunate to be serenaded at different parts of the day by Michael “Cap’n Kilt” Chordash on the bagpipes. If you’ve never played paintball while bagpipes are playing on the field, you are missing out! After play wrapped up for the day, players dispersed to their hotel rooms or campsites. Little did anyone know; the overnight weather was about to become the talk of the morning on Sunday. With overnight rain, and winds gusting up to 44 mph, most tents and canopies were destroyed, including all of the tents for PB Sports. At approximately 3:00 Sunday
