The Allies put up a valiant fight, but no
matter what they tried, they were unable
to make it up the hill and penetrate the
walls of the Abby. This meant, the Axis
were able to hold the final flag of the
day for the entire hour, earning all points
available.
Along with continuous battling back and
forth to control flags, there were many
side missions and props available for
extra points. Bill Bailey put together some
amazing props for the game, including a
missile that, when the wrong wire was cut
in an attempt to deactivate it, pressurized
air was released from the bottom of it.
These missions, and the search for props
kept some players engaged in the game.
Other players were left to their own
devices. As it became later in the day, more
and more silliness ensued. There was the
player who rushed to a bunker carrying a

younger players on both teams engaged
in rousing games of rock, paper, scissors.

big kids became involved as squeegee
fights broke out in multiple places on
the field. Finally, we were all fortunate
to be serenaded at different parts of the
day by Michael “Cap’n Kilt” Chordash
on the bagpipes. If you’ve never played
paintball while bagpipes are playing on
the field, you are missing out!
After play wrapped up for the day,
players dispersed to their hotel rooms or
campsites. Little did anyone know; the
overnight weather was about to become
the talk of the morning on Sunday. With
overnight rain, and winds gusting up to
44 mph, most tents and canopies were
destroyed, including all of the tents for
PB Sports. At approximately 3:00 Sunday
