THE GAMES
In the Pro Xball division there were
essentially three teams in the title race:
Edmonton Impact, San Antonio X-Factor
and Tampa Bay Damage. Close but with
no realistic shot were San Diego Dynasty,
Houston Heat and Moscow Red Legion.
Clearly the edge going into World Cup
was held by Edmonton Impact who had
two second place finishes, one fourth place
finish and one second place this season.
San Antonio X-Factor had three top four
finishes in their first four events pre World
Cup.
This division went the way many would have
predicted, with Edmonton Impact passing
the test each round on their way to the
finals. The exact same thing could be said
for San Diego Dynasty. After losing their
opening game in the preliminary rounds

they ran through everything in front of them
on their way to the finals. With the stands
packed this back and fourth game did not
disappoint. Whether you were watching
it live at GoSports.com or seated in the
grandstands or the World Cup VIP, this one-
point game was everything you could hope
for in a pro final round. This time there was
no last-second Kyle Spicka Dynasty magic
as there was in 2015. This year’s ‘Cup ended
the way it did for Edmonton Impact last
year—with them standing on the podium
getting a Champaign shower celebrating a
very hard-fought win.
Third place in the Pro Xball division went to
San Antonio X-Factor, who lost to Impact
in the semifinals. And fourth place went to
Los Angeles Infamous, who had a nice run
until they met Dynasty on the semifinals.
