for every available point.
With possible storms in the forecast, lunch
was cut short to get final battle in before
the weather turned bad. Delta Force was
still ahead by 415 points, but with 700
points available in the final battle, the
Infierno Cartel wasn’t out of the game
yet. With multiple props along a center
dividing line, and three slapsticks that were
scored at regular intervals throughout the
final battle, this was still anyone’s game to
win. Pep talks were given, and the teams
rallied around their leaders as the horn
sounded once again at the beginning
of the battle. Runners from both teams
dashed to the center line of the field to
attempt to retrieve props and position
slapsticks with their team’s color showing.
Meanwhile, both sides of the field were full
of players laying down cover fire for those
runners. After an intense 30 minutes,
countless rounds of paint had flown
across the field, and multiple players were
sporting “war wounds” after running and
diving for slapsticks. One prop remained

on the field, unclaimed by either team.
Once the final score of the game was
revealed, it would become clear just how
important that unclaimed prop was – the
point difference of the game was actually
less than the point value of that lone
prop. Both teams battled hard, but at
the end of the day only one team could
be declared the winner. After trailing all
weekend long, with a final score of Delta
Force 2305 and Infierno Cartel 2335, Jesse
“J Gutta” Walker of Mad Frog Militia led
his team to a hard fought victory.
After handing out awards, raffling off
prizes, and singing happy birthday to
a young gun who was playing his first
ever scenario event, it was time to pack
everything up, say goodbye, and make
plans for the next big game. With an
amazing facility, exciting game play, and
a professional and courteous staff, White
River Paintball hosts some of the most
enjoyable scenarios in central Indiana.
It’s well worth the drive to the field, and
I hope to see you at the next big game!
