that ran the table in four straight games, not one. There
were a half dozen that had either two wins and two ties or
three wins and one tie. Interesting.
In the end it was a final round matchup between
Sacramento DMG and Diesel playing for first place.
Although the game was as close as you could get, DMG
would come out on top 5-4. In the battle for third place
the Brooklyn Bears easily handled their business versus PC
Katana 5-1.
In the growing Division Two Xball bracket 27 teams came
to Texas ready to do battle and much like the semipro
division, no team won all four of their preliminary round

games. Houston Zone, one of five teams to show three
wins and a tie on the scoreboard, would go wire to wire
without a loss. In the finals they matched up against and
beat Carolina Breakout 6-1—quite a showing after their
11th place finish in Las Vegas. Division leaders coming into
Texas, Montreal Image, were a bit off their game. That said
they did make it to the quarterfinals.
Division Three Xball Annapolis A-Team came in at the
top of the division after winning Las Vegas. But Texas
did not go as well as they only managed two wins in the
preliminary rounds—not enough to advance to Sunday
play. Texas PhalanX did advance, losing only one game in
