The 14 team professional bracket saw three teams go
undefeated through the preliminary rounds. As we have
come to expect, Edmonton Impact was one of those
undefeated teams. The other two were Los Angeles
Infamous (why not, it’s Dallas) and AC Dallas, who I
think may be one of the most underrated pro teams in
the league. Seattle Thunder, San Antonio X-Factor and
Moscow Red Legion each won three of their four first round
games. upTon 187 Crew playing without Nick Slowiak, out
with a broken thumb that he injured in Barcelona, had a
rough event, winning only their opening match. The Los
Angeles Ironmen and Chicago Aftershock, two original
pro teams in the NPPL days both struggled to 1-3 finishes
in the prelims. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the first
round was San Diego Dynasty losing three of their first four
games and not making it to Sunday.
But Sunday paintball happened for eight teams, two
of which lost three of four games in round one, and
