A visit from the Ghost of Paintball’s Past
in May seems a little early to fit the great
Dickens’ novella but paintballers from all
over the world were treated to relics that
once called CPX in Joliet home. Living
Legends, for the second year, had made a
new stop to set up shop but this time it was
much, much closer to where this great event
began. Legacy Adventure Park in Lockport,
IL, just minutes away from where CPX stood,
hosted Living Legends 12 on May 17th thru
19th. Legacy Adventure Park opened their
doors on June 8th, 2018 offering people 66
acres of fun. You can experience Zombie
Hunts, Treasure Hunts, Paintball, Laser Tag,
Archery Tag or testing your fortitude in their
15,000 square-foot, award winning Haunted
Mansion. Though Haunted Mansions tend
to be a nesting place for ghosts, it was not
the source of ghosts previously spoken
of. When CPX closed their doors a few
years ago, the owners of Legacy Adventure
Park purchased many of the attractions
players were familiar with and even bits and
pieces from the notorious Bedlam. Legacy
Adventure Park owners were in for a wild
ride when they signed on with CPX Living
Legends and what transpired was a weekend
they and the players will never forget.
Living Legends has been a landmark event
in the world of paintball. It promises the
opportunity to play side by side or versus
some of the most amazing people paintball
has to offer. They have been manufacturing
legendary players since day one. It is an
opportunity for any baller, whether it be
speedballer, magfed, pump, scenario or
tourney player, to come and live the most
exciting gathering in the United States.
Paintballers come from all over the world
to try their strengths against the Legends in
Paintball. They come far and wide to find out
who will be crowned victorious, most valued
or most formidable.
