What can YOU do about this? Well,
business pages are handled differently
than personal pages, and yes personal
pages are being soft banned as well, but
not to the degree of paintball companies
and paintball pages. When you see
content that is positive for the sport, or
your local field has a deal running. POST
IT on your social media for them. If you
“share” it, then the company will see what
you did, but you can even just copy and
paste it yourself if you want to reduce the
possibility of it being a soft banned post
and not going out to all of your friends.
This is the only way we can get the word
out for our game anymore in social media
due to this war on ideals that is waging.
The more you promote the game and get
your friends to do the same, the more new
players we will have trying out our sport.
Youtube also started cracking down
(another soft ban) on paintball videos in
December 2016. When you “subscribe”
to a Youtube channel that makes paintball
content, you won’t get all of their content.
Youtube only sends you a small portion
of it, if any at all. (Supposedly if you click

the “bell” on youtube, then you will get
all of it, but I never trust them to stick
with anything as they constantly change
how their system works). I rarely if ever
get notifications when my subscriber
content uploads content. I have 25,000+
subscribers on Youtube and lately I get
less than 500 views in the first week a
video drops… So clearly a lot of my fans
never see my new content. They also don’t
promote paintball videos like they used to.
You have to actively put in “paintball” to
see other paintball content, as they want
you to jump to a different type of video
when you start watching and recommend
other things besides paintball…
The biggest tip is to support paintball
media by passing it on to your peers. If
you love the sport, and enjoy reading
and seeing new content, it has become
much harder for the sport to get the word
out about what we all do to promote the
game, and any help YOU can give to get
new players into the sport will be the only
way we can all grow the sport together!
