The National Xball League Europe
held its second event of the 2019
season the last weekend in May. The
NXL Europe Paris/Chantilly event was
held at the beautiful Hippodrome
De Chantilly in the historic town of
Chantilly located just to the north of
Paris, France. Chantilly is not new to
the European professional paintball
circuit—the Millennium Series held its
closing event each season in Chantilly
from 2013 and until they gave way to
the National Xball League two years
ago.
The Hippodrome is right in the heart
of the historic region of Chantilly and
walking distance from the old world
charm of the city. Hotels, restaurants
and shopping are all close by and two
major airports serve Paris and beyond.
The NXL Europe’s opening event of the

paintball.media magazine
season in Barcelona Costa Brava saw
Moscow Red Legion put it all together
with its best event in years, taking the
Professional division. Red Legion also
won the NXL Texas Open and now look
to be the team to beat in the US and in
Europe. The star-studded Golden State
Knights with Ryan Greenspan, Blake
Yarber, Archie Montemayor, Marcello
Margott and other heavyweights
finished in second place in Barcelona in
their first event ever. Edmonton Impact
finished in third place in Barcelona and
is a team no one will ever count out
heading into an event here in Europe
or America. And there’s Houston Heat
rounding out the big four for 2019. As
the Paris/Chantilly event begins in the
Pro division most would bet the winner
would come from this group but this
is paintball and anything is possible.
That’s why they play the games.
