Texas Open—and both of these teams finished in the top
three in the first two events. San Diego Dynasty and Tampa
Bay Damage finished second and fourth in Las Vegas
respectively but both disappeared in Texas finishing 10th
and 13th. Moscow Red Legion and San Antonio X-Factor
have been knocking on the finals door the first two events
but have not quite been able to make the jump. Houston
Heat and its star-filled roster has only been able to manage
a 5th and 11th place finishes to date—one of the more
disappointing pro teams in the NXL thus far.

Things can change in a hurry in pro paintball and once you
start to count a team out of the race, you can be surprised.
Out of the gate Houston Heat looked like a different team
than the past two events, with four wins in four preliminary
round games. Their Millennium Series win in Bitburg,
Germany seems to have energized the team. San Antonio
X-Factor also had a great four for four preliminary round.
Moscow Red Legion, Los Angeles Infamous, Tampa Bay
Damage and Edmonton Impact each won three first round
games. Seattle Uprising won two of four games, but each
