and make sure the other team knows that
it is taken. The horn cuts through and they
are off, 400+ players swarm the battlefield
and the fastest one, the one that feels
as though he could outpace a cheetah,
has the compound in his vision. The
compound provides bunkers, vantage
points and the perfect opportunity to
fend off any unwanted attackers but it
also holds the first coveted points of the
game. He is gaining ground, feeling
as though he is actually flying when the
impact hits his shoulder, the again in the
chest and another in the face mask. His
brain is processing exactly what he is
feeling as he notices green spray fly off
his body. He has not made it to the haven
he thought he was headed to but instead
running headlong into a hornets’ nest. As
he looks up and sees the green arm bands
and mask straps he realizes that he is out,
the runners beside him are out and his
sprint for control has been stopped dead
in its tracks by the CHAR. The fight for
the compound, the extermination of the
CHAR has taken 40 minutes off of their
game clock. Once the CHAR was out
then it was time for Red and Blue to clash
for positions and points. The Red (Ceres

Metal Industries) were out to prove a point
and punish anyone that stood in their
way. They were a force to be reckoned
with and dominated day one. The Blue
(Corean Consortium) were able to battle
their way into their fair share of points
but were definitely in a fight for their lives
and their territories the entire day. The
Blue team seemed to be outnumbered
but delving into pre-registration numbers
there was a minimal difference in team
size and with very skilled players on both
sides it brought strategy into question.
With Day One in the books and the Red
team with a decent lead, Day Two was
shaping up to be an extremely physical
grind.
The CHAR, the dreaded third faction, under
the orders of DJ Honu Fox himself, provides
an extraordinary flow of the game. Trying to
complete missions or gain certain territories
only to find this faction of 30 Pirates stands
to ruin your day. Accompanied by a mobile
respawn cone, the CHAR were able to
spawn in very specific areas to accomplish
very simplistic tasks, they were to be the
thorn in both teams’ side.
