The Royal City Seadogs hail from Toronto,
Canada and though their team history
isn’t as distinguished as many of the more
household names announced for the pro
division of the ICPL the team is comprised
of players who have been in and around
the game for a long time now. The core of
the group will be based off of the existing
royal City Sea Dogs NXL team which has
been competing in the semipro division
for the past two years. This group is being
supplemented by long time players that
hail from a variety of successful older 5,
7 and 10 man teams which include SOF,
Chop Shop, Detroit Fusion and many
others.
From Captain Jay Balaka, “The core of
the group has regular practices for the
NXL and also takes a large role in hosting
and reffing local OPL tournaments here
in Ontario. Beyond these commitments
we are mixing in with a few local teams
this season to have regular practices
throughout the year.”
Last season in the semipro division of the
NXL the royal City Sea Dogs placed ninth
is Las Vegas, eighth in Texas, eighth in
Atlantic City, fourth in Chicago and fourth
in the World Cup in Kissimmee, Florida.
