FARSIDE CLASSIC ROSTER John Rathbun, John Dresser, Brock Jolliff, Jamin Kuhnke, TJ Harback, Kyle Pikrone, Jake Dickson, Grant Butler, Matt Sossoman, Andrew Zorn, David Zorn, Andy Horvath, Ben Frederick, Ben Chewning, *Always looking for snake players Farside was formed in November of 1988 in Illinois by the late Forest Brown. The team played in the Open and high level Amateur divisions for more than a decade with much success. The current incarnation of the team has deep roots in the squad that played the World Cup together in 2000 and the Farside Kids team of the same era. The team disbanded in 2000 for a short time and got back together with some new blood and a better attitude and the team took second place at the NPPL ten-man World Cup that year. That Farside team featured John Rathbun, John Dresser, Jamin Kuhnke, TJ Harback and David Zorn. The Farside Kids team featuring Kyle Pikrone, Andrew Zorn, Andy Horvath and Ben Chewning later joined some of the above Farside players to form Evil Factory. Brock Jolliff, Grant Butler and Ben Frederick were also part of Evil Factory. 0108 paintball.media magazine From John Dresser, “The current Farside squad is really just a group of friends who used to play paintball under the same name close to 20 years ago. We haven’t gone searching for more current players since first playing ten-man together once in 2014 at the PSP World Cup. Many of us hadn’t played as Farside for most of a decade at that point. And we wouldn’t play again together until the mechanical ten-man event in Atlanta in 2017 run by Lane Wright. We won that and the Fight Club event. We also won the Trade My Gun mechanical 7-man and placed third at the recent event at Gator Paintball.”
