title. For Houston Heat and the other 18 pro
teams it’s back to the grind in preparation
for the NXL Dallas Open in May. It’s a long
season and nothing is determined in March.
With San Diego Aftermath moving up to the
pro division and Indianapolis Mutiny gone.
ac: Diesel entered the NXL Las Vegas Open
as the number one seed in the Semipro
Xball Division. And they played like it in the
preliminary rounds, winning all four Friday
games. Sacramento XSV and Columbus LVL
also won their four opening round games.
CEPP DMG, NRG Elite and the Hurricanes
each won three Friday games.
Team note – Preferred Mob, Camp Pendleton
Raiders, TBD Jits, Noobies, Carolina Crisis,
Plumlife, Gulf Coast Hurricanes and Capital
Edge DMG all moved up from Division Two
to Semipro Xball.

NRG Elite, Ralph Boys, Hurricanes and Gulf
Coast Hurricanes each got through their
ocho round games. In the quarterfinals
Ralph Boys (2018 best finish was 14th place)
shocked ac: Diesel to advance. CEPP DMG
beat the Hurricanes, Gulf Coast Hurricanes
took care of Sacrament XSV by a single in a
mild surprise and Columbus LVL easily sent
NRG Elite home early 7-2. Columbus LVL,
who came out of nowhere was probably as
surprised as anyone to be in the semipro
finals but their run continued as they beat
the Gulf Coast Hurricanes (who stepped up
from Division Two this season) to advance to
the finals where they would meet Ralph Boys.
The final game wasn’t close as the impressive
Vegas run ended in the finals for LVL. Ralph
Boys dominated the game from start to finish
with a 4-0 win and Vegas semipro title.
