My first event was the Nations Cup. I
think it was 2000.
WHAT WAS IT LIKE TO COME
FROM RUSSIA TO THE US FOR
THE FIRST TIME?
Well, I was waiting to see what the
USA was like. I was really young and
everything was new.
WHAT WAS IT LIKE TO PLAY FOR
RUSSIAN LEGION?
The old squad of Russian Legion was
totally different because we were
more friends who liked spending
time together, irrespective of age! It
was really great team.
YOUR NEXT TEAM WAS PHILLY
AMERICANS, RIGHT?
Yes.

Konstantin Fedorov has been
one of the best and most well-liked players on the pro
circuit for more than a decade. Getting his start on the
famed Russian Legion squad that eventually became
a worldwide powerhouse, Fedorov is about as close
to a sports icon as paintball currently has. I caught up
with Konstantin just a few days before the start of the
Millennium Series opening event in Barcelona, Spain
for a brief chat.
KONSTANTIN, YOUR FIRST PRO TEAM WAS THE

WHAT WAS THAT LIKE?
This is was scary a little ‘cause I left Legion alone and
couldn’t speak English at that time! The guys took me in
and helped me learn the language and taught me the
U.S. mentality. Philly was a special team. I would say it
was the best time I had playing back then.
