Every member of Yeti Squad wants to win. This
requires planning, and that planning starts in
December before that season even starts. As
a team, the squad votes on what games they
want to play over the course of the next year.
This is done so that all team members can plan
their vacation times accordingly. They all sign
a contract of intent to be there for each other
over the course of the following year. Each
member has an “in team account” that they
pay into weekly that covers their food, travel,
etc. over the course of the year so that there
are not any surprise lump sum payments that
they cannot afford. There is also a team fund
created to deal with emergency situations.
This team fund is topped up with gear sales
and other team fundraising activities.
Yeti Squad attends about fifteen scenario
games a year. Yes, you read that correctly…
fifteen a year. The logistics of that is staggering.
If you have ever been a paintball team captain,

you know that organizing paintball players
is akin to herding cats with a flaming torch…
difficult. Yeti Squad however travels as a unit.
Air B&B’s are booked well in advance. They
often arrive at the field Thursday night to
stake out their staging area. This must be done
because when Yeti rolls in, they roll in deep.
Two to four staging area tents, 6 plus tables,
and their own team trailer. Yes…. a full 8’x20’
custom paintball trailer. The trailer houses
team lockers for all the members and their
own 4500psi custom fill station! (Seriously!
How badass is that?!?!?!?)
What really makes Yeti special though is how
they play. Everything I have said prior to this, is
just their dedication to excellence. Yeti does all
of this so that when they hit the field, they are
focused. They are not worried about where
to put things, or if their gear is safe. They get
a great sleep. They do not have to walk extra
miles just to refill their tanks or pod up.
