9am - Store Owners
Round Table
57 attendees for the Retail Based Topics for
Junior and Gina Brown to moderate. Ray
Trimble from Ninja started things off with a
great presentation on the ASTM and it’s value
to the industry, and sighted some examples of
lacking policy manuals and the ASTM standards
covered them. It’s only $75 per year to belong
to the ASTM. www.astm.org Paintball sub-
committee F08.24.
10 am - 6 pm Exhibit Hall
10:30 am – First Annual Canadian Maple
Leaf meet and greet – Most Canadians at the
Extravaganza were present. Started off with
a splash of Canadian Saskatoon Berry liquor,
and had a fun discussion with everyone
involved. Couple of distributers, and 4 fields
from Ontario, one for Quebec and one from
Saskatchewan. Great discussion around the
table, everyone had a say. We will do it next
year too.
11:30 am - 2 pm
Paintball Industry
Luncheon
Keynote speaker – Beth Standlee founder &
CEO of www.Trainertainment.net “Grow your
people. Grow your business. Coaching and
training for family entertainment centers.”
Beth had a well received message that we
are like every other entertainment business
and “It’s not about you.” Connecting with
the customer and giving them what they
want for an experience. Beth has never
been approached to play paintball, maybe
we should ask more. Get the word out and
be proactive in their community to drive
players. Don’t count on incoming calls, go
out and get business.
