For me one of the highlight events of the 2019
Paintball Extravaganza was the Wednesday
evening charity auction. The event raised
more than $10,000 (the previous high in past
years was just about $6,000) for the Cute
Syndrome Foundation which funds research
for PCDH19 and SCN8A Epilepsy. meet new people in the game. For anyone
that was around during the International
Amateur Open’s heyday, the Extravaganza is
not on that level, but it’s probably the closest
thing the game has right now.
Another highlight of the Extravaganza each
year for me is the networking and socializing
that goes on all week, mostly in the lobby, bar
area and restaurant of the hotel. Since all of
the event’s official activities end by 6Pm each
afternoon that leaves the evening meetings,
drinks at the bar, socializing and getting to Word around the event this year is that the
2020 Paintball Extravaganza will be relocated
to another part of the country. The event had
a nice run in the Washington DC area but its
run is up. We’ll keep you posted as we learn
more.
