As always, the deeper we get into the season
the more that is at stake for all teams in all
divisions. For Edmonton Impact the follow
up season to their 2016 record-breaking year
in which they won the NXL and Millennium
Series titles and both World Championships,
has been a little disappointing here in the
U.S.—if you can imagine that scenario for
a team that has made it to the top four of
the pro division in the three pervious NXL
events. Still they’ve not won an NXL event
this season coming into Chicago and that’s
the type of standard they have set.
For Moscow Red Legion it’s been a season
of getting better with each tournament in
the NXL. They started the season with a 7th
place finish in Las Vegas, a 5th place in Dallas
