A feature unique to SuperGame, the Final
Battle was waged on Saturday rather than
on Sunday, following a field reset. For
30 minutes, thousands of paintballs flew
continuously through the air each second
as a wild firefight took place at the center
of the field over three slap-stick stations.
As the smoke cleared, the Red faction had
maintained control of all three stations and
was awarded the points for the objective.
While Saturday’s game raged on, two
other special objectives were carried out
elsewhere on the field, away from the high
priority targets. The Kids Mission, a special
event designed specifically for the 17 and
under crowd, and the Magfed Mission, an
objective for Magfed players only, were
114
paintball.media magazine
included to encourage smaller segments of
the paintball community to participate. Both
special objectives awarded points on behalf
of the winning faction to the main score.
Off field, two more skill-based events took
place. On Saturday the Tippman 1v1 Pistol
Challenge saw Christopher Caron of SAS
named the first SuperGame EAST winner
with his clever tactics. Sunday, following
the closing ceremony, Inception Designs
sponsored a Pump/Mechanical 3-man event
and awarded winners Alex Kvansnicka, Scott
Wysocki and Evan Wysocki three custom,
laser-engraved Inception Designs RETRO
Canvas Pump Guns.
